With some yamming and shimming, I got it perfect, but still a bit odd to have all that precision in the overall build and not end up with a square fence face.įor most cuts, not an issue, but could be with some types of cuts. As have many on the internet, I found that mine was not at all close to 90 degrees to the table surface. I also was suprised that with all the precise-ness of the Incra, the fence is attached to the guide bar with simply a pc. But even then the measurement cursor is quite imprecise in that you have to "read" it from the edge on the main fence extrusion, thereby having some offset in terms of accuracy. Of course, with longer cuts, you dont have to keep adjusting the stop, you simply slide the fence rail in and out. Loosen knobs, disengage stop from toothed rack, re-engage stop in rack at desired position, lock knobs. For crosscutting of repeatable lengths, I found the Incra to be a tedious setup. I didnt care for my 1000SE as I primarily used it for crosscutting on the tablesaw with repeatable stops. I think it depends in part on the type of work you do.įor precision angle cutting, I'd bet the Incra is among the best.
